Abstract

Abstract

Many elementary school students usually identified that mathematics is difficult lesson. They feel that learning mathematics is boring and unenjoyable. One learning media that can motivate elementary school students is quizizz. Quizizz is smartphone-based application for distance learning. This application is suitable for use as a learning media to improve mathematics learning motivation during the covid-19 pandemic. This study aims to find out the contribution “quizizz” as learning media during the covid-19 pandemic to motivate learning students for the fourth grade elementary school students. The method used in this research is quantitative descriptive. The subjects of this research is consisted of 10 students in fourth grade, SD 2 Puyoh, Kudus. The research data were obtained through mathematics learning achievement test and students’ mathematics learning motivation questionnaire. The result of this research showed that the students’ mathematics learning motivation could be improved through Quizizz-smartphone based application. Students’ mathematics learning achievement test also showed an increase. Based on this research it would be better if quizizz is applied at elementary school as an interactive media during covid-19 pandemic.
